About me

Born 1993 in Paris, Kamil Zihnioglu discovers photography during his childhood with both parents working in photography and photojournalism. Kamil grew up in the outskirts of Paris and the South of France and took up photography at the age of 14. 

Between 2012 and 2013, he completes a 3-month internship with the former German news agency DAPD in Berlin as a photographer and a 3-month internship with the German newspaper Bild Zeitung as a picture editor.  Kamil moves back to Paris in 2014, where he starts as a freelance photographer for the photo agency Sipa Press and in 2015 for the international news agency, Associated Press, while studying for his bachelor degree in fine arts and photography. 

He graduated in 2017 with a long-term project on the 322 last days of former French President Francois Hollande’s presidency named ‘Epilogue’. He regularly contributes to French newspaper Le Monde.
